At a young age in Tucuman, Argentina, Ricardo Rojas recalls his first attraction to hair while watching his Mother and Sisters’ beauty regime before leaving the house. It was not long before he was creating styles on them, without technique or formal instruction, following his natural talent through cutting and shaping. It was clear that his skill couldn’t be denied, and by the age of 12, he was giving haircuts to his entire family and friends. Little did he know that this beloved hobby would turn into a global career.

By age 21, Rojas had formal training as a hairstylist and joined the trendy salon CHAMPU located in Cordoba, Argentina. He quickly became their “go-to” stylist, boasting a fully booked schedule for weeks on end, and ultimately took ownership of the salon at age 23! Motivated by this early success, Rojas set his sights on New York City and left CHAMPU in the hands of his partners, to embark on a journey that would begin to fulfill his dreams.

He joined the renowned Oribe Salon on 5th Avenue, further refining his technique as both stylist and colorist, and making frequent trips to Miami to care for the locks of his jet-setting clientele. It was in South Beach where he was first introduced and booked to style fashion icon Donatella Versace - marking only the beginning of an eight-year long relationship. Rojas began traveling around the world - Milan, London, Paris - to style Donatella and her celebrity friends for the front row of Versace shows. He also joined the Odile Gilbert Atelier in Paris, working on Haute Couture Runway Shows including Chanel, Dior, Gaultier and Galliano.

With a piqued interest in editorial work, Rojas set out for Hollywood, and over his 30-year career, has defined signature looks on celebrities and supermodels including Cher, Mariah Carey, Kris Jenner, Naomi Campbell, Zoe Kravitz, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Eva Longoria, Demi Moore, Kate Upton, and more. He has become the master of keeping it subtle, while still making a dramatic statement; his sexy, effortless styles have adorned the most high-profile photo shoots, runways, premieres, charity galas, and major red-carpet moments worldwide. Making his own mark on the red carpets, Ricardo was also featured in the famed TV show “Sex & The City” as a hairstylist named “Juan José”.

While traveling with his A-list clientele, Ricardo has experienced first hand the strain and damage that hair endures – constant travel, dehydration, in-climate weather, over-styling, and how it takes its toll on their strands. As an innovator and creative mind, he set out to develop products that promote healing and sustain health for strong, shiny hair. On his quest for quality ingredients, he was brought back to the healing properties of Yerba Maté from his homeland. Yerba Maté is the national beverage of Argentina, the center of every gathering and is considered to be the secret to health, both inside and out. Ricardo remembered a long-forgotten childhood memory of treating his sister’s hair with the tea, resulting in stronger, more vibrant tresses. His instincts led him to explore this secret ingredient and thus Ricardo Rojas Hair Care was born.

Ricardo Rojas Hair Care harnesses the potency of Yerba Maté with a rich blend of vitamins, antioxidants, complex biotin and amino acids. Infusing these rich properties in its shampoos, conditioners, deep hydrating mask, volumizing and flexible hold sprays, as well as the signature Amore Serum, Ricardo Rojas Hair Care leaves hair stronger and more energized for long lasting results.

Though Ricardo adores the elegance and romanticism of a woman styling her tresses, he also appreciates the effortless, carefree way in which modern women carry themselves. He wanted to create a brand that helped a woman feel her best, whether she spent two minutes or two hours on her hair. Ricardo Rojas Hair Care lays the foundation for healthy, beautiful hair, and his line of hair extensions outside the core products build on styles to add texture, increased volume, length, color enhancements and pure exhilaration to any look.
